TONIGHT ON SPIKE - UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

It’s the frontrunner for 2008 Fight of The Year, and tonight, for the first time on cable television, the epic five round war between Forrest Griffin and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson will be shown on Spike TV at 9pm ET / PT as part of the network’s exclusive rebroadcast of UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin.

In addition to this star-studded event, Spike TV will show two of the unaired preliminary bouts from September’s UFC Fight Night card for the first time, as lightweights Joe Lauzon and Kyle Bradley do battle, and middleweights Alessio Sakara and Joe Vedepo square off in a bout featuring one of 2008’s most explosive endings.

But that’s just the main event. Beginning at 1pm ET / PT this afternoon, Spike TV’s UFC programming kicks off with the rebroadcast of April’s UFC Fight Night Event, headlined by the lightweight clash between Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon.

Then from 4pm to 7pm, fight fans have the opportunity to catch up on all the action from The Ultimate Fighter – Team Nogueira vs Team Mir with a three-hour min-marathon which will get you up to speed on TUF’s most exciting season yet.

And from 7pm to 9pm, you’ll get two hours of UFC Unleashed (featuring Griffin vs Bonnar I, Jardine vs Griffin, Liddell vs Ortiz II and much more) to whet your appetite for the UFC 86 rebroadcast, which not only features the light heavyweight championship bout between Griffin and Jackson, but bouts starring UFC standouts Patrick Cote, Joe Stevenson, Josh Koscheck, and Tyson Griffin.
