Monday Fight Updates - July 6

International Fight Week is underway, and while there's plenty to talk about regarding the UFC 189 and TUF Finale 21 cards taking place this weekend in Las Vegas, there are changes coming to upcoming events, including Sunday's card at the MGM Grand.

* With Marcio Alexandre out of his welterweight bout against George Sullivan on the TUF Finale 21 card, former Ultimate Fighter competitor Dominic Waters is stepping up to make his UFC debut against "The Silencer." Waters has won three straight, and with TUF 16 castmates such as Neil Magny, Sam Alvey and Igor Araujo making plenty of noise in the Octagon, "Shonuff" is arriving at the perfect time to join them.

* Gilbert Melendez's positive drug test and subsequent suspension has forced him out of his UFC Fight Night bout against Al Iaquinta on July 15. The fight will not be replaced, and the card will proceed with 12 bouts.

* Two of the flyweight division's top prospects will meet in Nashville on August 8, as unbeaten newcomer Geane Herrera puts his 8-0 record on the line against rising New Mexico star Ray Borg.

* Another UFC debutant will make his first walk to the Octagon this summer when Latvia native Misha Cirkunov battles all-action veteran Sean O'Connell in a light heavyweight bout to take place in Saskatoon on August 23.
