Flyweight Contenders on Their Way to LA

Top ten-ranked flyweights Jussier Formiga (#6) and Zach Makovsky (#9) will square off against each other on August 2, as they have verbally agreed to a UFC 176 bout at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Brazil's Formiga is coming off the biggest win of his UFC career in March, as he submitted Scott Jorgensen in the first round, while Makovsky is unbeaten in his Octagon campaign, with victories over Jorgensen and Josh Sampo.

Tickets for UFC 176, which is headlined by the UFC featherweight title bout between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes, go on sale on June 13.
