UFC 188 Activities in Mexico City

"Fans headed south of the border for this weekend’s UFC 188 event have some opportunities to get up close and personal with fighters on the card.
"Fans are invited to Wednesday’s open workouts, as well as Friday’s official fighter weigh-ins.
"UFC 188 takes place Saturday at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and UFC Fight Pass.
"Wednesday’s open workouts take place at the Interactive Museum of Economics at Calle de Tacuba 17, Cuautemoc, in the Centro Historico. They kick off at 4 p.m. CT local time.
"Scheduled to attend are headliners Cain Velasquez (13-1 MMA, 11-1 UFC) and Fabricio Werdum (19-5-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC), who fight in a heavyweight title-unification bout. In addition, lightweight co-headliner Gilbert Melendez (22-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) will be on hand, as will other UFC 188 fighters with Mexican ties: Kelvin Gastelum (10-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC), Henry Cejudo (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Efrain Escudero (23-9 MMA, 4-5 UFC).
"On Friday, the weigh-ins take place at Mexico City Arena. Doors open to the public at 4:30 p.m. CT, and the first fighter is on the scale at 6 p.m. CT.
