Conor McGregor’s UFC victory breaks TV viewership records

"Conor McGregor’s stunning UFC victory in the O2 Arena at the weekend went down a treat with television viewers, with more than 600,000 tuning into the bout.

"Brazilian Diego Brandao could do little in the eye of the McGregor storm and the live coverage on 3e reached a total of 600,000 viewers.

"An average of 257,500 viewers, 21pc of the available audience tuned into the showdown, a record for a sporting event for the channel.

“'This was a night that will go down in history within the UFC for the record sell out and viewership figures,' said Garry Cook, General Manager of UFC EMEA."
