Johnson-Teixeira set to rumble in Chicago

The co-main event for this summer's UFC on FOX card in Chicago is now official, as top light heavyweight contenders Anthony "Rumble" Johnson and Glover Teixeira will meet at United Center on July 23.

The FOX-televised bout was first reported by the UFC's Megan Olivi on Wednesday.

Currently ranked second in the world at 205 pounds, Johnson has won five of six bouts since returning to the UFC in 2014. Most recently, he needed just 86 seconds to knock out Ryan Bader in January. The No. 3-ranked Teixeira is on a hot streak as well, having finished Ovince Saint Preux, Patrick Cummins and Rashad Evans in consecutive bouts.

After the win over Evans last month, Teixeira suggested a bout against Johnson, and "Rumble" accepted, setting up one of the most explosive bouts of the year.
