 Lamas faked an attack; Casimir dropped and absorbed a brutal knee. Mouthpiece flying, the Frenchman was out cold.

2. Fredson Paixao vs. Courtney Buck

Do not let Fredson Paixao take your back with hooks in. Buck attempted a leg kick and Paixao pounced, setting into motion the fateful conclusion.

3. Leonard Garcia vs. George Roop

A questionable point deduction cost George Roop victory in an entertaining FOTN. Roop delivered; split draw was greeted with boos.

Trainer Duke Roufus counseled Anthony Pettis: “Pump the jab and follow with a kick." Moments later, lightweight Danny Castillo was lying unconscious on the mat.

5. Chad Mendes vs. Erik Koch

In a battle of unbeatens, Koch scored with a high kick that opened a deep gash; Mendes used takedowns to score a unanimous decision victory.

6. Scott Jorgensen vs. Chad George

George shot on Jorgensen, and the wrestling champ sprawled and secured ideal front headlock position: 31-second submission.

7. Bart Palaszewski vs. Karen Darabedyan

Darabedyan was pitching a shutout until Palaszewski pulled off a stunning armbar. “He was clipping me,” Palaszewski said. “(But) he kept leaving his arms out.”

Even the most passionate fight fan had to be thinking: Please make it stop. “It” being this clinchfest. Little of note happened. Majority decision Davis.

9. Jens Pulver vs. Javier Vazquez

A thrilling three minutes and 40 seconds between striker and grappler: takedown, reversal, takedown, reversed, takedown, tight armbar.- hush over the pro-Pulver crowd.
 

10. Miguel Angel Torres vs. Joseph Benavidez

Benavidez controlled the fight, scored a takedown and opened Torres’ forehead with a hard elbow. Blood gushed, Benavidez locked in a guillotine choke.

11. Brian Bowles vs. Dominick Cruz

4-to-1 underdog battered Bowles; Bowles did not return for third round. “The first punch I threw in the fight I broke my hand,” Bowles explained.
