UFC® TO HOST SECOND GRAPPLING TOURNAMENT WITH GRAPPLERS QUEST AT UFC® FAN EXPO™
Tournament Takes Place May 28-29 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center
Las Vegas, NV (USA) – After drawing some of the world’s finest athletes to its first competition last July, UFC® today announced that it will host its second grappling tournament in conjunction with the prestigious Grapplers Quest organization on Friday and Saturday, May 28th and 29thth, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center as part of the UFC® Fan Expo™.
The tournament will award thousands of dollars in prizes across a variety of divisions and weight brackets, giving men, women and children from all skill levels the chance to compete in front of thousands of spectators during the second-ever UFC® Fan Expo™.
“We are excited to have another grappling tournament as part of our UFC Fan Expo,” UFC President Dana White said. “Last year’s event was huge, and we expect an even bigger and better turnout this year, bringing some of the best new grapplers from all over the country to Las Vegas.”
In addition to the UFC and Grapplers Quest competition, UFC Fan Expo’s roster of activities will also include meet and greets with legendary UFC, PRIDE® and WEC® fighters, MMA demonstrations, fan-inspired special events, training and development sessions, and other exciting opportunities and entertainment. All UFC Fan Expo activities will take place over two action-packed days and coincide with UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 29.
