Las Vegas, NV (USA) – The stakes just got a little higher for those who enjoy playing online poker. The Ultimate Fighting Championship® announced today an agreement with Zen Gaming, Inc. of Las Vegas to launch a free online UFC® Poker Room™.

Launched today to coincide with Saturday’s UFC 104: MACHIDA vs. SHOGUN in Los Angeles, the new UFC Poker Room will offer non-stop poker action with single and multi-table Texas Hold’em tournaments. The Poker Room will be open 24-hours a day, seven days per week, and is available to anyone 21 years of age or older.

Fans now have the opportunity to play free online poker with a chance to win exciting prizes. Players can join UFC Poker Room for free by visiting the Games tab on UFC.com and select UFC Poker, or by logging on to www.UFC.COM/POKER. Much like the heart-pounding action that takes place inside the Octagon™, players can go “all-in” at the UFC Poker Room.

“UFC Poker Room not only gives fans a way to play poker online completely free, they can compete for cash prizes, UFC gear, Octagon-side tickets, prizes from UFC’s premier sponsors, and personal meet-and-greets with UFC fighters,” UFC President Dana White said.

Over 80 million people play poker in the United States, and more than 200 million play globally. UFC Poker Room will leverage UFC’s massive fan base and tremendous brand equity with Zen’s advergaming platform, considered among the most robust, deeply analytical online Advergaming platforms in the world.

“Combining the UFC, the world’s largest mixed martial arts brand, with one of the most powerful global Advergaming platforms available today is an unprecedented and exciting proposition for both UFC and Zen Gaming,” Zen CEO Mark E. Brown said.

NLOP will create, host and operate the UFC Poker Room, as well as provide customer support, while the UFC will assist NLOP with marketing and promotion.

“This new site will allow players the opportunity to win all expense paid trips with VIP Tickets to UFC and the chance to win Best Seat in the House, a promotion where players have the opportunity to sit with the Octagon Girls at a UFC Live event,” Vincent Zaldivar, President of Zen Gaming Inc., said.
