UFC’s Best Offer Mayweather-Pacquiao Predictions

The best judges of fighting acumen often are those who step into that arena to compete. So who better to offer predictions for the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao welterweight Fight of the Century than some of the UFC’s top athletes?

UFC.com gathered analysis, thoughts and predictions from a number of ranked fighters, and the field seems to be predominantly in favor of Mayweather prevailing, factoring in his undefeated status and his ability to control the tempo. However, Pacquiao’s southpaw speed also garnered plenty of praise and support as well.

Middleweight contender Lyoto Machida: “I believe in Pacquiao. He’s faster, and he an do a lot of combinations.”

Middleweight contender Michael Bisping: “They’ve both deteriorated a little bit over time. Of course, Pacquiao has been stopped a couple of times recently as well. And I think that will be a factor.”

Middleweight Chris Camozzi: “Pacquiao has a lot on his plate, with politics, basketball and everything else, and it just seems like a lot to juggle, along with fighting one of the best boxers of all time.”

Lightweight Jorge Masvidal: “It’s a tough fight. I’ve seen a lot of Mayweather and Pacquiao, and I’ve seen Mayweather not do well against southpaws. And Manny Pacquiao is the southpaw. He’s probably the best southpaw of all time.

Welterweight Ryan LaFlare: “Mayweather’s gonna beat Pacquiao. I think he’s got a little more speed and a little more aggressiveness. But Pacquiao has that one-punch power, so it should be a good fight.”
