Former Ultimate Fighter winners Eddie Gordon and Antonio Carlos Junior will meet in a middleweight bout in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday, June 27, both intent on getting back on track after recent setbacks.
The UFC Fight Night card, which takes place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, is headlined by the middleweight battle between Lyoto Machida and Yoel Romero. FOX Sports 1 will televise.
New York’s Gordon took just 71 seconds to win TUF 19 last year, and though he’s had his struggles since then, most recently a controversial decision loss against Chris Dempsey, his confidence hasn’t dipped a bit as he pursues middleweight glory. Moving to the 185-pound division after winning TUF Brazil 3 at heavyweight, Carlos Junior feels like he’s finally found his fighting home in one of the sport’s toughest divisions.
