Magomedsharipov makes return in Brooklyn

Rapidly rising featherweight star Zabit Magomedsharipov will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon on Saturday, April 7, as he faces New England's Kyle Bochniak in a UFC 223 bout at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

UFC 223, which airs live on Pay-Per-View, is headlined by a pair of championship bouts pitting Tony Ferguson against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rose Namajunas against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Currently on a 10-fight winning streak that includes a pair of submission finishes in the UFC over Mike Santiago and Sheymon Moraes that earned him Performance of the Night honors, Magomedsharipov didn't have a line of fighters willing to step up and fight him, but Boston's Bochniak, fresh from a January win over Brandon Davis, accepted the call, and he is more determined than ever to pick up his third UFC victory this April.
