Lighter Weight Fighters get Spring Dates

Six bouts are on for spring UFC events...
Fans of the UFC's lighter weight classes got a jolt of good news overnight, as six matches were verbally agreed to for three of the organization's spring events.

On April 16 in Quebec City, rising bantamweight star Dustin Kimura will tackle lanky veteran George Roop.

Three intriguing matchups have been added to the UFC's return to Cincinnati on May 10, as Nik Lentz faces Manny Gamburyan in featherweight action, flyweights Darrell Montague and Kyogi Horiguchi collide, and Louis Smolka and Chris Cariaso meet, also in the 125-pound weight class.

And finally, UFC 173, which will take place on May 24 in Las Vegas, will see Kyung Ho Kang take on TUF 18 winner Chris Holdsworth in a bantamweight bout, while featherweight knockout artist Sam Sicilia battles Korean newcomer Doo Ho Choi.
