Horiguchi climbs into Top 3 in new rankings

There’s a new name within the top three of the UFC’s flyweight rankings. Kyoji Horiguchi’s win at Fight Night Belfast Saturday bumped him up from No. 4 to No. 3, in Monday’s release of the new UFC rankings.

Horiguchi defeated Ali Bagautinov by decision. It’s his third consecutive win since losing to champion Demtrious Johnson at UFC 186.

In other ranking’s updates related to the Belfast event, Marion Reneau climbed two spots to No. 13 among the women’s bantamweight division and Alexander Volkov debuts in the heavyweight ranks, also at No. 13.

Krzysztof Jotko secured his fifth consecutive win at Fight Night Sao Paulo after defeating Thales Leites by decision. Jotko’s win over the Brazilian earned him a four-spot leap in the middleweight rankings to No. 11.
