GSP Medically Cleared, Eyes November Return

The champ is back...GSP expected to return in November
The post on Twitter Tuesday afternoon was a welcome one, as UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre announced that he has been medically cleared to get back to training for what he hopes will be a November 17 return to face interim titleholder Carlos Condit at UFC 154 in Montreal.

"I'm now medically cleared to compete in professional mixed martial arts events- Rendez-vous le 17 novembre, @UFC 154, Montréal!!!" tweeted GSP, who has been sidelined by a torn ACL in his knee.

THe 31-year-old St-Pierre's last appearance was at UFC 129 in April of 2011, when he scored a five round decision win over Jake Shields, his sixth consecutive title defense. After being injured in training for a fight against Nick Diaz, Condit stepped up and decisioned the Stockton native at UFC 143 in February to take the interim belt.
