Official UFC Online Store Hosts Auction Featuring Actual Gear worn by Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin

SAN FRANCISCO, August 7, 2008 – The original gear worn by current UFC® Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin as he seized the title during his July 5th victory over Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is now up for grabs to the highest bidder. UFCAuction.com, the official UFC online auction powered by Delivery Agent, is launching an exclusive auction beginning August 7 featuring Griffin’s autographed gloves, shorts, and walk-in T-shirt worn during UFC 86. Forrest’s portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Fund (yellowribbonfund.com), which assists injured service members and their families during recuperation at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center.

The auction marks the debut of several ecommerce upgrades made to the official UFC online store, UFCStore.com. A best-of-breed auction platform developed by Delivery Agent provides UFC with the ability to seamlessly integrate a scalable, branded auction environment into their ecommerce store. Improved and enhanced elements include proxy bidding, video, automatic bid extension, countdown timing, charity highlight, and newsletter signup.

UFC and Delivery Agent will continue to build upon the success of past Octagon™ memorabilia auctions, which have included items from Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva, Rodrigo Nogueira, and Yushin Okami. Moving forward, auctions will include fight worn gear from UFC 87, UFC 88, and TUF 8. Complete auction details, highlights, and schedules can be found at UFCAuction.com.
