fighters joined UFC President Dana White at the UFC 148 post-fight press conference: Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen, Cung Le, Chad Mendes, Tito Ortiz, Forrest Griffin, Demian Maia and Mike Easton.

Silva received Knockout of the Night for his second-round finish of Chael Sonnen. After spending most of the first round on his back, Silva exploded in the second frame. After avoiding a spinning backfist attempt from Sonnen, Silva landed a vicious knee to the body. The champ followed up with a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to step in. With the win, Silva has amassed a record 15-fight win streak, including 10 title defenses.

Fight of the Night went to Ortiz and Griffin, who engaged in an exciting back-and-forth brawl to complete their trilogy. After running backstage, Griffin returned to the Octagon to be awarded a unanimous decision victory.

With no submissions on the card, there was no Submission of the Night bonus.

All bonused fighters earned $75,000.
