LAS VEGAS -- Poised for a televised debut on the VERSUS network Sunday night, World Extreme Cagefighting serves up nine bouts with the Urijah Faber-Chance Farrar title bout headlining the card.

At the weigh-ins this afternoon at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, there was a big-fight feel as fighters posed for fans. The live show airs on VERSUS at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, with a one-hour preview show of selected WEC bouts airing immediately beforehand at 8pm ET.

Gunning to make the third defense of his featherweight title, Faber said he’s ready for whatever Farrar can bring. Like the champion, Farrar is an aggressive takedown artist and the expected style clash figures to make for a memorable main event.

“I’m going to go out there and take his head off,” Faber said. “The pressure’s going to be on him facing me when I’m trying to kill him. I’ll go until I’m out of gas, and I’ve got a lot of gas.”

Despite building his record on small shows, Farrar said he’s not worried about the big-stage pressure that can take a fighter off his game.

“I have no pressure on me,” said Farrar, who may be one of the few recent opponents the champion has faced who can match his wrestling skills. “I’m good on my feet and on the ground.”

Among the 8 other bouts, there’s a mix of contender-style elimination bouts and showdowns matching various prospects and new faces. While Faber and Farrar will settle their differences with the winner taking the title belt with them, there’s also two tough featherweight contender showdowns, Micah Miller-Cub Swanson and Mark Hominick-Rani Yahya – that should establish a solid cast of future title challengers.
