Franklin. Loiseau. Penn. St. Pierre. They’re four of mixed martial arts’ best, and they will all be in action this Saturday at UFC 58 – USA vs Canada, which will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
In a lot of ways it’s a special night for the sport, as not only will Rich Franklin and David Loiseau wage war for the UFC middleweight championship in the explosive main event, but former welterweight champion BJ Penn will return to the Octagon for the first time in over two years against Canadian phenom Georges St. Pierre.
UFC 58 will also see the return of the lightweight division to the organization, making this a historic evening as well, and the 155-pounders competing on Saturday – Yves Edwards, Mark Hominick, Sam Stout and Spencer Fisher – have a huge responsibility to not only win, but to show UFC fans once again what lightweight fighting is all about.
Tickets are still available for UFC 58 – USA vs Canada, but they’re going fast, as fight fans are well aware that this will be their last chance to catch the UFC in action live and in person until May, as the UFC’s inaugural show in California on April 15th is already sold out.
