Thoughts on upcoming opponent, Chris Haseman? Chris Haseman is a tough Aussie veteran. He's been around a long time. He has very strong grappling and wrestling and lately he's been working on his standup to round out his game. He will be a tough fight and I look forward to it.
Training: Day to Day training varies, but it consists of Weights/Cardio, Padwork/Sparring, Grappling/Submissions.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started to test myself to see if the years of training in the Martial Arts really meant anything. This was in 1997.
What ranks and titles have you held? I hold Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Shootfighting, Tae Kwon Do & Kai Shin. I was also the Australian HW Vale Tudo Champion. I am also a multiple time Australian BJJ champion as well as Pan Pacific BJJ champion.
What is your favorite technique? Any submission.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The UFC is the premier organization for MMA. It means success in my training. It means recognition for all my hard work. It also means things just got harder.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I have a degree in Information Technology.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was an IT Support officer for a major international accounting firm. I now run a Martial Arts school with my business and training partner, Anthony Perosh.
