Biography

TRAINING: A typical day of training for me for this fight consists of a morning workout geared towards grappling or striking, and strength and conditioning. Then an evening workout consisting of sparring and more full contact training.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I was pushed by my father from a young age to compete in many sports but I ended up concentrating on karate and kickboxing. I have a 16-4 kickboxing record including a win in K1 Max over Koutetsu Boku. Some of my training partners started training MMA so I starting messing around with it and got more serious about groundwork.

What ranks and titles have you held? I'm the five-time defending TKO World LW Champion. IKF North American Welterweight Kickboxing champion. Canadian lightweight Muay Thai champion, North American Muay Thai Champion.

Do you have any heroes? Shawn Tompkins is my hero. He did so much for me.

What is your favorite technique?
I'm a good stand-up fighter and I love to knock-out my opponents

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's a dream come true!

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I am in my first year at Fanshawe College studying paramedics.

What was your job before you started fighting? None.
