Biography

TRAINING: Work from 5am until 9am, sparring or grappling in the morning at 10:30.  Eat lunch, then rest until striking and conditioning in the evening.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started kickboxing at the age of seven, then Kajukenbo at the age of 10.  My dad would watch a lot of boxing on TV, and that’s what got me interested in fighting.

What ranks and titles have you held? None

Do you have any heroes? My parents

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC means a lot to me.  It has been a goal of mine since I was 13 and watched Diego Sanchez win the first season of TUF.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I attended Central New Mexico Community College and became certified as an EMT.

What was your job before you started fighting? I currently work part-time as a fitness trainer at a UFC Gym.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? New Mexico Jr. Olympic State Champion and New Mexico Wrestling State runner-up.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? XFC open tryout winner.

Ranks in any martial arts styles: I hold a black belt in Kajukenbo and a blue belt in Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu.
