Daniel SpohnATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Traditional martial artist WHAT WOULD BECOMING A UFC FIGHTER MEAN TO YOU: I've fought my way back to the Octagon and endured many hardships to get here. “Persistence can turn failure into extraordinary achievement.” This is my time. MINI-BIO: I was born in Texas and moved to Ohio with my mother and brothers at the age of 13. Life was hard for us, but we had each other. I began studying the Japanese art Kachido Aikijitsu at Cambridge Martial Arts around 14 years old, under Sensei Tim McConahay. It changed my life and gave me a positive environment to thrive in. I eventually earned the rank of San Dan (3rd degree black belt) in my early twenties. I now live and train in Columbus, OH with coach Scott Sheeley and Ronin Training Center (GFTeam Ohio BJJ Team). I’m an ALLIANCE MMA Champion and hold multiple titles at both heavyweight & light heavyweight.
