Biography

TRAINING: A typical day for me this fight camp is morning training with just me, my coach and a training partner, and the practice is directed towards everything I need. Then I take an afternoon break, where I am usually napping or relaxing. Then it’s back for night time training with the team, doing lots of live work. I also make time for strength and conditioning at least three times a week after my first workout.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started boxing at the age of 11 to learn how to defend myself and to join my two older sisters in the boxing gym. My dad signed me up for my first MMA fight in 2010 with two weeks’ notice, just to see how well my boxing would work in an MMA fight.

What ranks and titles have you held? Purple belt in BJJ, and I hold three amateur titles.
Do you have any heroes? Not yet.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC is any fighter’s dream. The UFC is the highest level of competition that you can get to, so to be in the UFC means I am on the path to greatness. Fighting in the UFC means I am the hero to my own story, which allows all my family and friends to witness me live my dreams, live on TV for the world to see.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to a semester of college but dropped out to chase my dreams.

What was your job before you started fighting? Waitress at a bar.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? 2010-2011 amateur Golden Gloves Champion, 2011 regional runner up in boxing, two-time NAGA expert champion
