TRAINING: A typical day of training consists of wrestling in the morning with my three-year-old (she hits a mean double leg), running in the afternoon to get my cardio in and at night all my training partners take turns beating the living hell out of me. After all that, the fight should be easy.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve always been fighting. Even before I trained MMA it's always been a passion of mine; I always like to test myself against other people
What ranks and titles have you held? I’ve been ranked in the top ten in Canada for over two years
Do you have any heroes? No
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means I get to support my family doing what I love without the need to have a second job.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No
What was your job before you started fighting? I used to own a small pickup and delivery pizza place for the last five years
