Richard Crunkilton Jr.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started wrestling at around the age of 11. Soon after that I saw the first few UFC shows. Then I decided that I wanted to do that one day. Immediately I started taking judo and several other martial arts that would gear me towards my goal. So really I think I have been training for this all of my life.
What ranks and titles have you held? I was the Greco-Roman and freestyle state champion of Florida several times when I was younger. I was also the judo state champion of Florida. I was a two-time All-American in the NCWA in college wrestling.
Do you have any heroes? My heroes have always been the great athletes of MMA such as Bas Rutten and Frank Shamrock.
What is your favorite technique? Throws and takedowns.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to college for two years at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked several construction jobs. I started fighting at a fairly young age so I did not really start any type of real career prior. I am currently running a pawnshop while fighting MMA at the same time.
