Pat Healy

When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve been fighting all my life and it’s the thing I love most in the world. I started training for pro fighting around 2003.

What ranks and titles have you held? FCFF middleweight champion, placed in State wrestling finals in high school

Do you have any heroes? Randy Couture. I grew up in Oregon and I always looked up to him. A lot of my amateur fights were in his events.

What is your favorite technique? Triangle from the mount.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means everything to me. It’s been my goal since I was 14 years old to make it to the UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. No degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? Construction.
