Biography

TRAINING: Either lifting or cardio in the AM three times a week. Practice four times a week from 11-1 and drilling at night three times a week.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I needed an outlet after I was done with college wrestling.

What ranks and titles have you held? I was a two-time NAIA national qualifier for wrestling. Lost in overtime to be an All-American. I have won the Cage Aggression belt and the VFC flyweight belt.

Do you have any heroes? My grandfather, because he always took care of business and showed me the meaning of hard work.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means everything. Everyone that competes, competes to be at the highest level in their chosen sport. Being able to compete at the highest level of MMA is what I have been working for since I began fighting.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I got a BA in sports management from Dana College

What was your job before you started fighting? Personal trainer

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Went 4-0

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Beat Eric Shelton for the Cage Aggression title. I also beat Nick Manalis for the Victory Fighting Championship. :

Favorite grappling technique: Double leg
