When and why did you start training for fighting? "I was so interested in NHB before I came to America. In July 2002, I started training and met Mr. Christopher Cordeiro and he became my promoter."

What ranks and titles do you hold?  "National Judo Champion."

What is your favorite technique? "Takedowns."

Do you have any heroes?  "Din Thomas."

What are your hobbies? "Watching movies."

What is your favorite movie?   "Bad Boys and Die Hard."

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?   "It is a dream come true. UFC is the best in the world."

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?  "Physical education degree."

What was your job before you started fighting?  "I was an engineer for Honda company in Japan."
