TRAINING: A typical day of training consists of one live practice a day, one reps session or conditioning session a day. Each day brings different styles and focuses on an area of my game, but my whole life revolves around MMA.
Thoughts on opponent, Joe Proctor? He is a very well-rounded guy, he has solid skills everywhere and comes from a tough camp. That's about all I have to say about him. I mainly focus on what I'm doing besides having a general idea of where we want to put him in this fight.
What ranks and titles have you held? Victory Fighting Lightweight Champion, Fight to Win Lightweight Champion, Full Force Lightweight Champion
Do you have any heroes? Dan Gable, Cael Sanderson
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a dream come true. This is why I got into this sport. I want to fight the toughest guys in the world and the UFC is where that can happen.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I wrestled for the University of Wyoming 2000-2003, never finished school. I cut my collegiate career short to pursue MMA
What was your job before you started fighting? Worked in the Trona Mines in Green River, Wyoming
Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? 2x WY H.S. State Champion wrestler, 2x H.S. All-American, Dave Schultz H.S. Hall of Fame award, NCAA D1 Varsity wrestler
