When and why did you start training for fighting? I have been a UFC fan since I was 15 years old.  I loved to play with UFC gloves in the gym, and I also did kickboxing sparring with my friends. After that, I understood that I needed to learn grappling also.  When I was 18 years old I looked for an MMA school, and I found the Bonebreakers team.  They saw that I had talent, and 3 months later I started fighting pro MMA.

What ranks and titles have you held?
Mexican welterweight champion. #1 ranked welterweight and lightweight in México.

Do you have any heroes?
I have a lot of heroes, but my basics are my parents and my grandfather because they are the perfect example of good Mexicans that keep working hard all the time for the family. They live with discipline.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?
I have had a lot of dreams, but the most important and biggest dream of my life is to fight in UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
I studied gastronomy, and my degree is as an executive chef.  I also studied law, but need six months more to finish

What was your job before you started fighting?
I was a sous chef in a hotel kitchen in Mexico.  The hotel was right in front of the Angel of the Independence in Mexico City.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition?
Champion MMA Tournament. National Champion of No-Gi. Absolute Champion in Submission in the Cage. First Place in Tournament of Kickboxing, Muay Thai and gi Jiu Jitsu.
