TRAINING: Wrestling in the morning, work on the stance in the evening. Sparring 3 times a week with Adlan Amagov. 20 km cross- running twice a week, cross fit and functional training.
When and why did you start training for fighting? Every man has an inner will to prove to himself what he is worth, to see if he is cut out for this and if he can reach great heights through competition. Fighting is just my way of proving to myself that I am worth something. I first picked up combat sports in 2005.
What ranks and titles have you held? Russian Grappling champion, World Champion in uni fighting, Russian ushu sanda champion
Do you have any heroes? Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s the highest achievement one gets to in the world of MMA. The only step after this is to become a champion, so it obviously means a lot.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I have two degrees, one in law and one in sports science. The first was achieved in Astrakhan State University and second in Astrakhan Polytechnic.
What was your job before you started fighting? Army contractor
