TRAINING: My training camp has been great for this fight. I train three times daily. I train my striking with Kru Perez, wrestling with my brother Jose, and BJJ with Macaco Patino. I also focus on strength and conditioning daily along with my fight training. I feel great technically, and physically better than ever. I have lots of great sparring partners to simulate Robert’s style, my game plan is in place, and I'm ready to throw down. I’m so excited to fight in Texas.
Thoughts on opponent, Rob Whiteford? I think Robert is a tough opponent. We've studied some of his fights and I respect the guy. He's at American Top Team, so I know he'll be well prepared, but you better believe I'll be ready too. I'm coming off a tough loss and there is NO WAY I'm losing this one.
When and why did you start training for fighting? My brother pushed me into training to keep me out of trouble on the streets.
