R3 Decision - Unanimous

Biography

TRAINING: It depends on my job obligations. But I try to run in the morning and train in my gym in the evening after teaching my kids classes. My workout switches from striking to grappling to wrestling. I spar about two times a week.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started judo when I was five and freestyle wrestling when I was eight. I did that for years. I started MMA when I was 23 because I needed to lose pregnancy pounds. My brother had his own gym, so that was an easy choice.

What ranks and titles have you held? Purple belt in BJJ

Do you have any heroes? Walt Disney is my hero

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s one of my biggest dreams that came true. I am extremely proud to be able to represent my country, my gym, and me and my brother’s name.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I have a bachelor’s degree and I am a teacher.

What was your job before you started fighting? I teach in high school.

If any, list specific accomplishments in pro competition? I beat Marloes Coenen in my first fight ever after four months of training. I am Benelux champion and I’ve beaten the current Invicta FC champ, Megan Anderson, by submission.

Ranks in any martial arts styles: Multiple-time Belgian champion in judo, Belgian champion in Fila grappling, 7th in European youth judo.

Favorite grappling technique: Triangle choke

Favorite Striking technique: Ground and pound

• Pro since 2009

• Four wins by submission (2 armbar, 2 triangle), two by KO

• Four first round finishes

• Holds wins over Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson, Jessamyn Duke, Sheila Gaff and Marloes Coenen
