Biography
ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Wrestled since seven, black sash in kung fu, two national titles in wrestling in college, college All-American at Anderson University in South Carolina
WHAT WOULD BECOMING A UFC FIGHTER MEAN TO YOU: When I become a UFC fighter, that is just the start of me becoming a UFC champ. It has been a journey and I have paid my dues, but I feel ready and my talents can excel at the top level of MMA, which is inside the UFC Octagon.
MINI-BIO: I was born in Long Island, NY and started fighting around 2013. I got into fighting once my college wrestling season was over, but I wanted to continue to compete. My brother told me about MMA, and then some friends invited me to a class. Once I had that first Muay Thai training session, I loved it. I started in June and the top guys at the gym told me that I had potential so we hopped right into a fight around three months later. I won the fight via KO in 26 seconds. Once I moved to Hartwell, I didn’t have a place to live or any money, but my coach allowed me to live in the karate school for eight months. While living there, my mind was on MMA 100% of the time and that is when my journey towards the UFC really began. Here I am now with six wins in a row, and some of the “so to say” top flyweight prospects outside of myself were ducking fights with me. I am ready to show Dana White the Carlton (my real name) dance that he has been missing inside the Octagon for all these years.
• Pro since 2013
• OWon six od lat seven
• Four wins by KO, one by submission (RNC)
• Two first round finishes
• Origin of nickname: “I was training in Maryland with Mike Easton and his nickname was ‘The Hulk.’ I was just good with CJ, but Mike said I needed one and the movie Transformers came up. After throwing a few ideas out there off of that, we came up with Autobot! I do a great job of mimicking styles, plus bumblebee is yellow and my mom’s favorite color…so the nickname actually fit! I always wear a yellow walkout shirt.”
