Biography

TRAINING: I just follow my usual routine. I follow the class schedule plotted out for the pro fighters. I show up to practice, go home and take care of my two sons for a few hours, then it's back to the gym for another session.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I got into MMA after being offered several college scholarships for soccer. I turned them down and went into the work force. My late son was born when I was working to get by and an MMA gym was down the street from my workplace. My son passed after nine months from epidermolysis bullosa, a rare genetic skin disease. I found MMA to be an outlet for me and keep active.

What ranks and titles have you held? #1 Bantamweight in North East MMA, CES Bantamweight Champion, Rocky Marciano tournament winner

Do you have any heroes? I have many people in my life that inspire me everyday

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? I have dreamed of being in the UFC. It has taken me 10 years to get here and I am here to stay.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No

What was your job before you started fighting? Retail and construction Favorite grappling technique: Armbar Favorite Striking technique: Knees
