TRAINING: It didn’t change much from the last fight; the difference lies toward the opponent. I had to adapt my training to explore his weaknesses and avoid the strong points. I can tell you I’ve been training hard and I’m not the same I used to be yesterday or last week or last fight. I’ve been improving my game every single training session. I do MMA every morning from Monday through Saturday; in the afternoon I do physical conditioning and three times a week, at night time, I practice Muay Thai.
Thoughts on opponent, Jacob Volkmann? It doesn’t matter if it’s his UFC debut; I’m sure he’s there because he must be a tough fighter. He’s a champion wrestler several times and has good takedowns and is hard to be taken down. He’s got also good heart and conditioning. I’m working on trying not to be in his game but to bring him to my game.
