Currently one of the youngest fighters in the UFC, Jon Jones brings a skill level and aggressive style that makes you forget that he’s only 21 years old.  This was never more evident than in his UFC debut last August against Andre Gusmao, as Jones used speed, energy, and a varied attack to thrill the crowd in Minnesota, and decision his opponent. But it wasn’t until January’s win over highly-regarded Stephan Bonnar that the former JUCO national wrestling champ showed that he’s not only a budding talent, but one that is ready for bigger and better things in the ultra-competitive 205-pound weight class.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training MMA 14 months ago and was introduced to Pro MMA through my manager Ryan Ciotoli.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a great opportunity for me at such a young age and being new to the sport of MMA.  I am extremely excited to be a part of the UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I attended Iowa Central and earned an associates degree.
