Thoughts on opponent, Tomasz Drwal? I believe I’m fighting a really well rounded, scrappy-type fighter who has no real strengths, but is all around a very tough individual who is always ready for a war.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started fighting seven years ago because I thought the chances of me getting to fight a guy one on one was great. Where I come from, you usually get jumped or beat with something.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is the greatest platform in the world. This is also a personal achievement that not many guys get to fulfill.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to two colleges - Iowa Central Community College, where I received an AA Degree; and St. Ambrose University, but I did not graduate.

What was your job before you started fighting? I am currently working at Scotty's Auction Service, doing everything that could be done, from moving furniture, working on cars, or just working in the office.
